Shores Animal Hospital is honored to pay respect to our beloved animal friends who have passed. We welcome you to create a lasting tribute for your beloved pet or animal friend on our website's Pet Memorial page. Please complete the following Pet Memorial Form, which requires the free Acrobat Reader to view.
One way to honor your pet is a memorial gift to "The Stephen Shores Lifetime Achievement Veterinary Care Fund."
Shores Animal Hospital has created a charitable fund to offer grants to clients and non-profit organizations who need financial assistance to provide our life-saving veterinary care for their pets.
All too often, pet owners find themselves financially unprepared to do what is needed to save their pet after an accident or during emergencies and face difficult decisions if they cannot afford treatment.
Shores Animal Hospital does not want clients to have to make that decision based solely on the stress of financial payment. Inspired to help less fortunate owners afford emergency pet care, we’ve established “The Dr. Stephen Shores Lifetime Achievement Veterinary Care Fund” with the Veterinary Care Foundation.
Dr. Stephen Shores, the founder of Shores Animal Hospital, has been a veterinarian helping Gainesville pets since 1974. He has patented pet products, been active in industry legislation and been honored numerous times by his peers.
The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable foundation where 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to veterinary practices like Shores Animal Hospital to use for charitable funds. The Veterinary Care Foundation never uses charitable contributions for administration, salaries or fundraising.
For those of you who are in a position to help less fortunate pet owners, you can donate by clicking on “The Dr. Stephen Shores Lifetime Achievement Veterinary Care Fund” link here or by coming to Shores Animal Hospital and completing the form.
Your donation is tax deductible (consult your accountant) and you will receive a tax receipt.
Thank you for your generosity and should you have any questions, please contact Karen Hardcastle, Shores Animal Hospital Practice Manager, at 352-372-8387.
