Shores Animal Hospital created a charitable fund to offer grants to clients and non-profit organizations in Gainesville who need financial assistance to provide our life-saving veterinary care for their pets.
Pet owners find themselves financially unprepared to do what is needed to save their pet after an accident or during emergencies and face difficult decisions if they cannot afford treatment.
Shores Animal Hospital does not want clients to have to make that decision based solely on the stress of financial payment. Inspired to help less fortunate owners afford emergency pet care, we’ve established “The Dr. Stephen Shores Lifetime Achievement Veterinary Care Fund” with the Veterinary Care Foundation.
Dr. Stephen Shores, founder of Shores Animal Hospital, was a veterinarian helping Gainesville pets since 1974. He has patented pet products, been active in vet industry legislation and been honored numerous times by his peers. Dr. Shores passed from a courageous battle with cancer in 2016.
The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable foundation where 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to veterinary clinics like Shores Animal Hospital to use for charitable funds. The Veterinary Care Foundation never uses charitable contributions for administration, salaries or fundraising.
For those of you who are in a position to help less fortunate pet owners, you can donate by clicking on “The Dr. Stephen Shores Lifetime Achievement Veterinary Care Fund” linked here and select Shores Animal Hospital or by coming to Shores Animal Hospital and completing the form.
Your donation is tax deductible (consult your accountant) and you will receive a tax receipt.
